As a former Marine, Chris Gillespie discovered he had a knack for assessing and solving complex logistical and operational problems. After completing his military service, he decided to make operations management his career. Chris now oversees all maintenance operations for Heaviland Landscape Management, focusing on implementation of operations improvements, while maintaining a high standard of customer service and quality.
Chris holds an MBA from California State University, San Marcos, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in Finance. He has his LICM and his QAL certification from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
During his 10 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, Chris was awarded two Navy Achievement medals, including one for fixing a broken logistical process in Iraq in 2004 and another for improving a system that made supply chain operations more effective. His exceptional logistical work in the military has translated well to his current position at Heaviland Landscape Management. Chris whole-heartedly embraces a desire to continue becoming a better leader to his team. He focuses on Servant Leadership and drives a culture at Heaviland of respect and selflessness from everyone.
Fun fact: A big sports fan, Chris also enjoys cooking, surfing, running, and the occasional round of golf.
